Today (May 26) afternoon marked another significant milestone for Tongxiang's intelligent connected vehicle industry development!

Academician Li Jun of the Chinese Academy of Engineering (Professor and PhD supervisor at Tsinghua University's School of Vehicle and Mobility), China Unicom's Smart Network Technology Co., Ltd., and the Tongxiang Municipal Government formally signed a tripartite agreement. The agreement explores establishing:

1. A state-owned operation platform company under the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission

2. A data technology company led by the academician team

In the future, the three parties will work together to build Tongxiang into a hub for automotive intelligent innovation. Municipal leaders Wang Jian, Weng Songgang, and Chen Jun attended the signing ceremony.

At the ceremony, Tongxiang Municipal Party Committee Secretary Wang Jian presented Academician Li Jun with a letter of appointment as "Chair of the Tongxiang Intelligent Connected Vehicle Expert Committee," marking a crucial step in Tongxiang's deep integration of government, industry, academia, and research in the field of intelligent connected vehicles.

The data-driven ICV industry is a key focus for Tongxiang. Last year, the provincial party committee and government issued a dedicated document supporting the "permanent hosting of the Wuzhen World Internet Conference," explicitly calling for the development of computing power and artificial intelligence industries in Wuzhen, as well as the creation of a national data elements pilot zone centered on the "vehicle-road-cloud integration" national initiative.

Academician Li Jun believes that the essence of automotive intelligence is deep artificial intelligence, which will become the core competitiveness of the future automotive industry and requires the support of elements such as data collection and test verification. Tongxiang's development of the intelligent connected vehicle industry not only conforms to the major trend of intelligent transformation in the automotive industry, but also aligns with the national strategic direction of developing the data element market.
