Filed and registered with the National Office for Science and Technology Awards, this award is the highest-profile and most influential industry science and technology award in China’s automotive sector. The Society may select outstanding awarded projects for nomination to the National Science and Technology Awards.

Ms. Li Xiaoying, CEO, and Mr. Lü Jiming, CTO of our company, are key contributors to this project and have taken an in-depth part in this industry-university-research collaborative research.

Key Technologies and Application of Safety Of The Intended Functionality for Autonomous Vehicles Based on the Entropy Increase Theory

Responding to the major strategic needs of the national intelligent connected vehicle industry, this project addresses critical industry pain points in Safety Of The Intended Functionality (SOTIF) for high-level autonomous driving. It has overcome core challenges including the difficulty in quantitative mining of unknown risks, insufficient coverage of test and verification, and the lack of real-time protection during vehicle operation, forming a systematic solution with independent intellectual property rights.

The project features three core innovations:

This award recognizes the long-term commitment of Academician Li Jun’s team and all participating organizations to autonomous driving safety and collaborative innovation across industry, academia and research.

As a participant in the project, Digauto leverages its engineering expertise in SOTIF testing and vehicle-level HIL validation equipment to support the engineering implementation of evaluation schemes and validation equipment for the team.

Moving forward, Digauto will continue to focus on SOTIF and operational safety assurance for autonomous driving, refine testing and validation technologies including VTEHIL and vehicle traffic environment HIL. We will keep collaborating with industry partners to advance core technology research and achievement deployment, contributing to the large-scale and safe application of intelligent connected vehicles in China.
